Over again for another year.......

Well I can't believe another Christmas has come and gone, where does the time go? The boys have both had a fantastic time, it was so lovely to see Ben enjoying himself. He really struggled with it all last year and took himself off and watched his videos. This year was completely different, and he loved every minute of it!!

Plays

Alex's School play this year was "Puss in Boots", and he got to play a zombie!!!! There was an ogre with a whole host of zombies dancing to the "Monster Mash"!!! It was really good, very funny.
Ben was a shepherd in the Nativity today. He was a total star, very well behaved. A few Mum's commented how good he was, and the staff were really pleased with him.

School Plays

Yesterday I watched the dress rehersal of Alex's School play. This year they did "Puss in Boots" and Alex played a zombie!!!! There is an ogre in the play who has a whole host of them and they dance to the "Monster Mash"! It was great they all looked fantastic.

Today it was Ben's turn to shine. He played a shepherd in the Nativity. He was so well behaved and looked like he really enjoyed it. Lots of Mum's commented on how good he was, and the staff were all pleased with him. He went to Alex's dress rehersal yesterday too, and I was a little bit worried he would play up, but he was as good as gold.

Some exciting news!

Matthew's big boss at work has a season ticket for Chelsea. He told everyone that if ever he couldn't make the game, he would make the tickets available for the employees. Well he can't go tomorrow and Matt applied for them - and got them!!!! Alex has decided to support Chelsea as one of his best friends at school does. His little face when Matt told him was an abolute picture! He is sooooo excited!! They are leaving early as they have a meal laid on and get to watch the match from a box. Matt is taking my new camera, so I'll post piccies later.

Happy Halloween!

When I asked Alex if he would like some friends around for tea on Halloween, he jumped at the chance!! We ended up with 13 including Alex and Ben. They all dressed up and looked fantastic, we even managed to take a small group Trick or Treating.

I wonder if this will become a Halloween tradition!! We'll see.........

Feeling Pampered!

MJ has been over this morning to do some scrapping, although I think we've probably done more chatting than scrapping - as usual!!

She brought her hair straighteners with her and did my hair, and then she did my make-up for me! It's so nice to be pampered like that, in all the rush and chaos of normal life I tend to find myself at the bottom of the heap. I am so lucky to have a friend like her!

Ben

I cannot believe the amount of progress my small boy has made this week. On Tuesday he was wandering around saying something which I couldn't catch - followed by "where are you". I realised he was copying one of his videos where a woman is looking for her crown. Then Wednesday morning I gave him something and said "here you go", and he reapeted it straight back!!! Not bad going when his entire vocabulary has so far consisted of about 12 words!!

However the biggest breakthrough occurred this weekend. Matt and I had to go to Southend to visit friends in preparation for their wedding next weekend. We dropped the boys off early Saturday morning at my Mum's. She'd made them some dough to play with, and Alex made it into a cake and they added some candles. Ben appeared in the kitchen, pulled up a chair and proceeded to sing "Happy birthday to you"!!!!! She told me about it over the phone and I could hear him saying it in the background! I'm so pleased I could burst!

I am so bad!!!

I was really keen to have MJ set this blog up, but I now feel I never do anything intereting enough to write about!!!!

I've hurt my neck/shoulders at the moment and am finding it really hard to sleep. Didn't help last night as Ben got up needing a drink. He seems to find it hard to settle down again if he wakes in the night, and I heard him moving around for a little while after he went back to bed. He wasn't too keen on getting up this morning because of it!!!!

I'm off for a coffee with two of the Mum's on the Pre-School committee, should be a giggle as they are both very funny!

Actually scrapped a challenge, our first team one on UKS. Will try and add the piccie!!!
Blimey! Not quite in the right place, but it's there!!!
